IAS/IFRS for SMEs and its application in the Czech conditions

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá aplikací standardu IFRS pro MSP v českých podmínkách. Aktuálnost problematiky je dána prohlubujícím se trendem propojování mezinárodních trhů, jenž vyvolává potřebu nadnárodních a celosvětově uznávaných účetních předpisů, které poskytnou vysoce kvalitní a srovnatelné informace o procesech probíhajících na úrovni podniku. Česká republika jakožto člen Evropské unie musí reagovat na tyto sílící tendence. Evropská unie se v současnosti zaměřuje na malé a střední podniky, neboť tento podnikatelský sektor se nejvíce podílí na její ekonomické prosperitě. Cílem diplomové práce je první převod účetní závěrky sestavené v souladu s českými právními předpisy na výkaznictví dle IFRS pro MSP. Výsledky analýzy porovnaných dat jsou zpracovány do zahajovacího výkazu o finanční situaci. Při zpracování diplomové práce byla použita metoda historická a deskriptivní a metody analýzy, komparace a syntézy.

Abstract:

The master thesis deals with the application of IFRS for SMEs in the Czech conditions. Topicality of issue is due to a widening trend linking the international markets, which raises the need for multinational and globally accepted accounting standards that provide high quality and comparable information about processes at the enterprise level. The Czech Republic as a member of the European Union must respond to these growing trends. The European Union is currently focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises, because the business sector is the main contributor to its economic prosperity. The aim of the master thesis is the application of the requirements of IFRS for SMEs used for the first transfer of financial statements prepared in accordance with Czech law on reporting under IFRS for SMEs. The results of analysis of matched data are processed in the statement of financial position. The methods which were used in the thesis are historical and descriptive methods and analytical methods, comparison and synthesis.
