Role of the Public in the Process of the Cultural Heritage Reconstruction in the Czech Republic and in selected EU states

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Role veřejnosti v procesu obnovy památky v ČR a vybraných státech EU“ se zabývá postavením občanských a jiných nevládních a neziskových sdružení působících v oblasti památkové péče. V úvodních částech je stručně přiblížena historie památkové péče v České republice a ve vybraných zemích EU. Následuje sumarizace stávajících systémů památkové péče na evropské úrovni a v ČR, stejně tak jako srovnání postavení občanských hnutí v jednotlivých státech EU a u nás. Případová studie popisuje několik památkových kauz, ve kterých se angažovala občanská hnutí. Poslední části shrnují jednak výsledky výzkumu veřejného mínění v ČR a v Německu, dále možnosti zlepšení péče o památky i návrh na legislativní úpravu správního řízení. Závěr práce shrnuje význam veřejnosti v procesu ochrany kulturního dědictví a památek.

Abstract:

The Thesis „Role of the Public in the Process of the Cultural Heritage Reconstruction in the Czech Republic and in the selected EU states“ deals with the position of citizens associations and other non-governmental and non-profit organizations in the field of the care of historical monuments. The introductory chapters give a description of the history of the care of historical monuments in the Czech Republic and selected countries of the EU. These chapters are followed by a characterization of the current systems of the care of historical monuments on the EU level as well as in the CR and comparison of positions of citizens associations in selected states of the EU and in the Czech Republic. The case study gives an overview of various cases concerning monuments in which the citizens associations took part. The concluding chapters summarize the results of a poll that took place in the Czech Republic and Germany. The conclusion summarizes the importance of the public in the process of the protection of the cultural heritage and monuments.
