The boundaries of ethics and sexual harassment in the corporate world through the eyes of university students in Ostrava

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je zkoumání etiky a sexuálního obtěžování v korporátních společnostech a rozlišování mezi oběma pojmy. Práce se zaměřuje na pohled studentů a studentek ostravských vysokých škol a zkoumá, do jaké míry mají informace o situacích, které by mohly být považovány za sexuální obtěžování na pracovišti, a jak sami takové situace hodnotí. Genderová nerovnost je také zohledněna. První část práce se věnuje teoretickému vysvětlení souvisejících pojmů, zatímco druhá část představuje metodologii kvantitativního výzkumu pomocí dotazníkového šetření mezi studenty a studentkami ostravských vysokých škol. Závěr práce obsahuje shrnutí a diskuzi výsledků výzkumu.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the examination of ethics and sexual harassment in corporate companies and the distinction between the two concepts. The thesis focuses on the perspective of male and female students at universities in Ostrava and examines to what extent they have information about situations that could be considered sexual harassment in the workplace and how they themselves evaluate such situations. Gender inequality is also taken into account. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical explanation of the related concepts, while the second part presents the methodology of quantitative research using a questionnaire survey among male and female students of Ostrava universities. The thesis concludes with a summary and discussion of the research results.
