Expectations of secondary medical school students of the future profession

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o profesi zdravotní sestry. Seznamuje se systémem vzdělávání v České republice v oboru zdravotnictví. Teoretická část se skládá ze tří kapitol, které souvisejí s tématem i výzkumem diplomové práce. Vymezuje základní pojmy, popisuje atributy profese, současné kvalifikační vymezení. Vysvětluje problémy se stresem a syndromem vyhoření, kterým jsou při své práci právě zdravotní sestry ohroženy. Praktická část diplomové práce je tvořena kvantitativním výzkumem, který byl proveden formou dotazníkového šetření. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit a následně provést analýzu, co studenti střední zdravotnické školy od své budoucí profese očekávají, jestli chtějí ve studiu pokračovat a zda existují rozdíly v názorech mezi studenty jednotlivých ročníků. V závěru diplomové práce jsou shrnuty veškeré poznatky z výzkumu a možná doporučení pro praxi v rámci celoživotního vzdělávání a vyrovnávání se stresem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the profession of a nurse. It introduces the system of education in the Czech Republic in the field of health care. The theoretical part consists of three chapters, which are related to the topic and research of the thesis. Defines basic concepts, describes the attributes of the profession, the current qualification definition. It explains the problems with stress and burnout, which nurses are at risk of during their work. The practical part of the diploma thesis consists of quantitative research, which was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. The main goal was to find out and then analyze what high school medical students expect from their future profession, whether they want to continue their studies and whether there are differences of opinion between students of individual years of study. At the end of the diploma thesis are summarized all the findings from the research and possible recommendations for practice in lifelong learning and coping with stress.
