Availability of social services for seniors in the Havlíčkův Brod region

Abstract:

Stárnutí obyvatelstva je fenoménem dvacátého prvního století a tato bakalářská práce pojednává o jeho vlivu na dostupnost sociálních služeb pro seniory ve správním obvodu obce s rozšířenou působností Havlíčkův Brod. Cílem práce je popsat proces stárnutí obyvatelstva a pomocí sociálně demografické studie charakterizovat sledovaný správní obvod z hlediska dostupnosti sociálních služeb pro seniory. Dále má za cíl odhadnout pomocí demografické projekce a na ní navazující projekce počtu příjemců příspěvku na péči vývoj budoucí potřeby kapacit ve vybraných zařízeních pobytových sociálních služeb pro seniory. Demografická projekce je zpracována kohortně-komponentní metodou bez migrace, jejímž prahem je počátek roku 2020 a horizontem je 1. leden roku 2050. Projekce počtu příjemců na péči do roku 2035 je zpracována ve dvou scénářích. Statický vychází ze struktury roku 2020 a dynamický scénář vychází ze změny struktury příjemců mezi roky 2015 a 2020. Z výsledků zmíněných projekcí vyplývá, že současné kapacity zařízení dlouhodobé péče pro seniory nebudou, i přes jejich výrazné navýšení v roce 2019, v následujících letech dostatečné. Pro zachování dostupnosti těchto služeb bude nutné jejich další výrazné rozšíření.

Abstract:

Population aging is a phenomenon of the twenty-first century and this bachelor's thesis deals with its impact on the availability of social services for seniors in the administrative district of the municipality with extended powers Havlíčkův Brod. The aim of the work is to describe the aging process of the population and with the help of a socio-demographic study to characterize the monitored administrative district in terms of the availability of social services for the elderly. It also aims to estimate, using a demographic projection and the subsequent projection of recipients of the care allowance, the development of the future need for capacity in selected facilities of residential social services for seniors. The demographic projection is processed by the cohort-component method without migration, the threshold is the beginning of year 2020 and the horizon is 1 January 2050. The projection of the number of beneficiaries for care until 2035 is processed in two scenarios. The static one is based on the structure of 2020 and the dynamic scenario is based on a change in the structure of beneficiaries between 2015 and 2020. The results of the mentioned projections show that the current capacities of long-term care facilities for the elderly will not be sufficient in the following years, despite their significant increase in 2019. To maintain the availability of these services, further significant expansion will be necessary.
