Táto diplomová práca sa venuje problematike materskej a rodičovskej dovolenky, pracovnoprávnym problémom s nimi spojenými a ich väzbe na sociálne zabezpečenie. V prvej kapitole veľmi obecne definujem pojmy ako sú rodina a rodinná politika, ktoré sú dôležitým základom pre inštitúty materskej a rodičovskej dovolenky.
