Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Kryptoměny jako investice a jejich vývoj během koronavirové krize“ se zaměřuje na analýzu kryptoměn jako běžného investičního aktiva a aplikuje nástroje pro analýzu a optimalizaci rizika v portfoliu, které jsou používány zejména na akciovém trhu, jako například fundamentální analýza nebo Markowitzova teorie portfolia. Navíc srovnává působení základních makroekonomických ukazatelů na cenu Bitcoinu pomocí korelačních koeficientů za celou jeho historii, s do jisté míry velmi výjimečným obdobím koronavirové krize, kdy se podmínky na trhu výrazně proměnili. Práce tak nabízí ukázku toho, jak přistupovat k analýze trhu kryptoměn a dělat investiční rozhodnutí. Teoretická část práce nabízí základní vhled do problematiky kryptoměn, který je klíčový pro pochopení toho, proč mohou být v budoucnu pro potenciální investory atraktivní a také proto, aby investor dokázal identifikovat kryptoměnové projekty, které jsou bezpečné a mají potenciál adopce širší veřejností. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na analýzu a predikci budoucího vývoje ceny za pomoci fundamentální analýzy a v rámci aplikace Markowitzovy teorie portfolia nabízí jiné investiční instrumenty, se kterými je vhodné kryptoměny v investičním portfoliu kombinovat, aby bylo dosaženo co nejnižšího rizika.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis “Cryptocurrencies as investment asset and their development during the coronavirus crisis” focuses on the analysis of cryptocurrencies as a common investment asset and applies tools for portfolio risk analysis and optimization, which are mainly used in the stock market, such as fundamental analysis or Markowitz 's portfolio theory. In addition, it compares the impact of key macroeconomic indicators on the price of Bitcoin using correlation coefficients, throughout its history, with a period of the coronavirus crisis, when market conditions have changed significantly. The work thus offers an example of how to approach the analysis of the cryptocurrency market and make investment decisions. The theoretical part of the thesis offers a basic insight into the issue of cryptocurrencies, which is key to understanding why they may be attractive to potential investors in the future and also that the investor can identify cryptocurrency projects that are safe and have the potential for adoption by the general public. The practical part of the work focuses on the analysis and prediction of future price development with the help of fundamental analysis and within the application of Markowitz's portfolio theory offers other investment instruments with which it is appropriate to combine cryptocurrencies in the investment portfolio to achieve the lowest possible risk.
