Volunteers´ motivation in a student non-profit organization and their relationship towards the organization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu motivace dobrovolnictví ve studentské neziskové organizaci s důrazem na organizaci ESN VŠE Praha - Buddy System. Práce se skládá ze tří části - teoretické, metodické a empirické, které jsou rozděleny do čtyř kapitol. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny vybrané teorie motivace, aktuální výzkumy v oblasti motivace k práci a vybrané stimulační prostředky. Druhá polovina teoretické části se zabývá základy dobrovolnictví, studentskými organizacemi na území České republiky a detailně je představena organizace ESN VŠE Praha - Buddy System. Metodika výzkumu je rozebrána ve třetí kapitole. Na základě teoretických poznatků byl proveden výzkum ve zmíněné studentské neziskové organizaci, jehož analýzou se zabývá poslední kapitola. V závěru jsou uvedena doporučení, jak efektivně motivovat k dobrovolné práci ve studentské organizaci a prohloubit tak vzájemné vztahy mezi organizací a jejími členy.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze volunteers´ motivation in a student organization, especially in the student non-profit organization ESN VSE Prague. Besides, the research intends to clarify the relationship of volunteers towards the organization. The thesis is divided into three major parts - theoretical, research methods and empirical. The theoretical part is devoted to basic information about motivation, stimulation to work and current research in the field of motivation. The second half of theoretical part describes basics of volunteering, students organizations in the Czech Republic and also the organization ESN VSE Prague is introduced. The research methods are a part of the third chapter. The practical part is dedicated to the results of research. It also includes general recommendations on motivation to volunteering in a student organization while building the relationship of the volunteers towards the organization.
