Quality of life and leisure activities for children with mental disabilities in the county of Highland

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na děti s mentálním postižením v kraji Vysočina. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce a výzkumného projektu bylo zjistit jaká je kvalita života rodin, které mají dítě s mentálním postižením a jaká je pro tyto děti nabídka volnočasových aktivit v kraji Vysočina. Dílčím cílem bylo analyzovat jaká je nabídka volnočasových aktivit v jednotlivých okresech v kraji Vysočina, zda tam jsou nějaká sdružení nebo organizace které tyto aktivity nabízejí. Práce je dělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretickou část tvoří tři kapitoly, které jsou zpracovány na základě analýzy odborné literatury a uvedených zdrojů. Tematicky se zaměřily na kvalitu života, mentálním postižení a volnočasové aktivity. Empirická část je obsažena ve čtvrté kapitole, ve které byly stanoveny výzkumné a dílčí cíle zaměřené na analýzu kvality života a nabídce volnočasových aktivit. Závěrem jsou uvedeny výsledky výzkumu a jejich interpretace.

Abstract:

The research project is focused on the life of children with mental disabilities in the region of Vysočina. The main aim was to find out what quality of life families, who have a child with mental disabilities have, and the childrenś range of leisure activities. The secondary aim was to analyze what leisure activities are being offered in each of the former districts, and whether there are any associations or organizations that offer these activities. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part includes three chapters based on analysis of scientific literature and sources. These are thematically focused on quality of life, mental retardation and leisure activities. The empirical part, included in the fourth chapter, cointains set research and sub-targets and is aimed at analyzing the quality of life and available recreational activities. Further, research methodology was presented and anonymous questionnaire was used and given to parents of children attending Special Elementary School and Practical School in Jihlava. Finally, the results and their interpretations are included in the project.
