Educational activities in multi-ensemble theater

Abstract:

Otázky vzdělávání publika patří ve 21. století k základním předpokladům budování udržitelnosti scénických umění, zvláště pak v kulturních institucích, které poskytují veřejné kulturní služby na základě politické objednávky. A v souvislosti s ní čerpají na svou činnost prostředky z veřejných rozpočtů. Nově se vyvíjejícím oborem v této oblasti je divadelní lektorství. Autorka práce se zaměřuje na popis vývoje a současného stavu oboru, nejen v ČR. V praktické části práce pak popisuje aktuální fungování divadelních lektorů při vybraných divadlech v ČR a snaží se zjistit, jak zakomponovat lektorské aktivity do procesů profesionálního vícesouborového divadla, tak aby naplnily svůj potenciál. Výsledná zjištění jsou konfrontována s teoretickou částí práce, která se opírá o zjištění z dostupné odborné literatury a expertního rozhovoru.

Abstract:

In the 21st century, audience education issues are among the basic prerequisites for building the sustainability of performing arts, especially in cultural institutions that provide public cultural services on the basis of a political order. And in connection with it, they draw on public budgets for their activities. A newly evolving field in this area is theatre education. The author of the master’s thesis focuses on a description of the development and current state of the field, not only in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the work, she describes the current functioning of theatre lecturers at selected theatres in the Czech Republic and tries to find out how to encapsulate lecturer activities in the processes of professional multi-ensemble theatre, so as to fulfil their potential. The resulting findings are confronted with the theoretical part of the work, which relies on findings from available scientific literature and expert interview.
