Possibilities of Usage Snoezelen Concept with Children and Young People in Residential Social Services for Persons with Disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce si klade za cíl popsat a charakterizovat koncept Snoezelen-MSE v sociální práci s cílovou skupinou dětí a mládeže s mentálním, nebo vícečetným postižením těžšího stupně v domově pro osoby se zdravotním postižením. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny modely zdravotního postižení, popsána role sociálních služeb při zajištění nejvyšší možné kvality života dětí a dospívajících s vícečetným postižením v návaznosti na českou i zahraniční legislativu. Popsáno je využití, uplatnění a fungování Snoezelenu-MSE u cílové skupiny dětí a mládeže s mentálním nebo vícečetným postižením těžšího stupně. Empirická část je souborem názorů a zjištění sociálních pracovnic na koncept Snoezelen-MSE v domově pro osoby se zdravotním postižením v ČR.

Abstract:

The thesis aims to describe and characterize the Snoezelen-MSE concept in social work with a target group of children and youth with mental or multiple disabilities of a more severe degree in a home for persons with disabilities. The theoretical part explains the models of disability, describes the role of social services in ensuring the highest possible quality of life for children and adolescents with multiple disabilities in relation to Czech and foreign legislation. It describes the use, application and functioning of Snoezelen-MSE for the target group of children and adolescents with mental or multiple disabilities of a more severe degree. The empirical part is a collection of opinions and findings of social workers on the concept of Snoezelen-MSE in a home for people with disabilities in the Czech Republic.
