Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou proměn reprezentace rodiny a genderových rolí jejích členů v dětském časopise Mateřídouška ve třech vybraných historických obdobích, a to 1948 až 1949, 1967 až 1968 a 1993 až 1994. Časové úseky byly vybrány záměrně, a to z toho důvodu, aby byly zastoupeny tři generace dětství, a to mé babičky, mé matky a mé. Cílem bylo zjistit, jaké hodnotové rámce předkládalo periodikum dětem a lišily-li se tyto skutečnosti v průběhu let. Každý člověk v průběhu svého života prochází procesem socializace. Existuje několik teorií, které se tomuto tématu věnují. Každý jedinec je vědomě i nevědomě ovlivňován normami, hodnotami a pravidly společnosti, ve které žije. Nepopiratelně velký vliv mají na jedince socializační faktory v dětství, podstatný dopad mají také vrstevníci či učitelé ve škole, ale také média, která jsou v dnešní době již prakticky všudypřítomná. Média sice mají vliv na utváření názorů jedinců, na druhou stranu ovšem působí jako tzv. zrcadlo společnosti. To znamená, že dávají prostor tématům, která jejich cílové publikum zajímají. Význam, který se nám nejen média snaží předat, ovšem vzniká skrze jazyk a nenachází se ve věcech samotných, ale je konstruován na základě konceptů. Práce zkoumá vyobrazení rodiny a jejich jednotlivých členů s použitím tematické analýzy s cílem zjistit, proměňovaly-li se tyto obrazy v průběhu let.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis analyses the transformation of presentation of family and gender roles of its members in the children magazine Mateřídouška in 3 particular time periods, 1948 –1949, 1967 – 1968 and 1993 – 1994. These periods were chosen on purpose to represent childhood of 3 generations in my family – my grandmother’s, my mother’s and mine. The goal of this thesis is to determine what general values were presented to children by this magazine and if these values changed over time. Each person goes through the process of socialization over their lifetime. There are several theories that deal with this process. Everyone is influenced by norms, values or rules of society in which they live, be it knowingly or unknowingly. Undeniably, socializing factors present in one’s childhood have extensive influence on a person. Then, there are peers and teachers, who also form a major influence. But there is also media, which are everpresent these days. Although media do play an importnant role in forming individual’s opinions and views, they also act as a reflection of society and therefore present topics that are close to the target audience. However, the meaing that (not only) media try to impart is created through language, so it is not present in objects themselves, but rather it is created from concepts. This thesis investigates the image of family and its members using thematical analysis in order to determine if these renderings went through variation over time.
