Corporate Social Responsibility and its Application in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce se komplexně zaměřuje na oblast společenské odpovědnosti firem (Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR). Primárně je orientována na všeobecný rozbor pojmu „společenské odpovědnosti“, který zahrnuje jeho historický vývoj, ideovou podstatu a principy. Tato obecná rovina je dána do souvislostí s hlavními reálnými aspekty, jež jsou charakteristické pro podnikovou praxi (především ekonomické, ekologické a sociální). Podrobněji se zaměřuji na jednotlivá pojetí, formy a podoby společenské odpovědnosti firem dle územního hlediska, a to v České republice, v EU a v jiných „mimounijních“ státech ve světě. V této části je kladen důraz především na jejich diference a možné příčiny těchto odlišností s doplněním o jejich pozitivní či negativní vliv. Celý tento teoretický systém je následně využíván na konkrétním případu vybrané organizace (VŠFS), kde je podrobně analyzováno, jakým způsobem tato organizace CSR uplatňuje. U jednotlivých analyzovaných oblastí uvádím subjektivní hodnocení, kritiku či doporučení. Více pozornosti je věnováno analýze sociální oblasti CSR na VŠFS, o.p.s. - studijním středisku Most, jež je dále rozšířena o vlastní empirický výzkum v podobě dotazníkového šetření a řízených rozhovorů. Tento výzkum představuje doplnění mého vlastního návrhu na zefektivnění CSR v organizaci v podobě zavedení „Dětského koutku“. Tento navrhovaný projekt ve svém závěru neopomíjí uvést, kromě plánu samotné realizace, také způsob financování (využití dotačních titulů z EU) a shrnutí nákladů a přínosů, jak ekonomických, tak společenských.

Abstract:

My bachelor thesis is comprehensively focused on the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR). It is primarily oriented on the general analysis of the term "social responsibility", which envolves its historical development, ideology and principles. This general level is put into context with the main aspects, which are typical for corporate practice (especially economic, ecological and social). I focus in more detail on single concepts, forms and representations of corporate social responsibility according to the area, e.g. in the Czech Republic, in the EU and other non-EU states in the world. In this part the emphasis is put on the differences and their possible causes suplemented with their positive or negative influence. This whole theoretical system is then represented by a case of a selected organization (VŠFS), where the implementation of CSR is analyzed. In the single analyzed areas I provide subjective assessment, criticism or advice. More attention is paid to the analysis of the social area of CSR on VŠFS - study centre Most, which is then extended by own empirical research conducted by means of survey and questionaire. This research represents a suplement to my own suggestion on efficiency of CSR in the organization in the form of the implementation of a "Parent centre". This suggested project introduces also in addition to the plan of realization the means of financing it (exploiting the subsidies from the EU) and the summary of the costs and benefits both economic and social.
