Cyclical processes of female body and their perception by women

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá přirozeným ženským cyklem. Ženské tělo prochází neustálými cyklickými procesy, které si ženy ne vždy uvědomují. Teoretická část práce popisuje biologické a psychické změny v rámci menstruačního cyklu. Jako jsou různé hladiny hormonů, které způsobují nejen změny na ovariích a děložní sliznici, ale i změny ve fyzické kondici a energii ženy a ovlivňují její vnímání. Práce také popisuje, jakým způsobem může žena těchto opakujících se změn využít. V části praktické byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum formou online dotazníku. Dotazníkem bylo zjišťováno především to, jestli ženy vědí o své cykličnosti, jestli tyto změny vnímají, jak je vnímají a jak přistupují ke svému menstruačnímu cyklu. Jestli ženy o menstruačním cyklu hovoří a s kým. Jakou nehormonální metodu antikoncepce používají. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že většina žen alespoň nějaké změny v průběhu cyklu vnímá a to především v premenstruačním a menstruačním období a polovina účastnic dotazníku nahlíží na svůj cyklus neutrálně. Většina žen také nemá problém hovořit o menstruačním cyklu s ostatními. Nejčastěji využívané metody ochrany před početím jsou bariérové metody a přerušovaná soulož.

Abstract:

This work deals with the natural female cycle. The female body undergoes constant cyclical processes that women do not always realize. In the theoretical part, this work describes changes during the cycle, both at the biological level, such as there are different levels of hormones during the cycle that cause changes in the ovary and uterine mucosa. They also cause changes in the physical condition and energy of the woman, as well as psychological changes and changes in perception. It also describes how a woman can benefit from these recurring changes. In the practical part, quantitative research was carried out in the form of an online questionnaire. This questionnaire was mainly focused on whether women know about their cyclicality, whether they perceive these changes and how do they perceive them. If they talk to someone about the menstrual cycle. How do they approach their menstrual cycle and what non-hormonal method they use. The results show that most women experience at least some changes during the cycle, especially during premenstrual and menstrual periods, and half of respondents look at their cycle neutral. Most women also have no problem talking about a menstrual cycle with others. The most commonly used methods of conception protection are barrier methods and intermittent intercourse.
