Leadership as a way of achieving power in corporate structure

Abstract:

Abstrakt Téma této bakalářské práce je leadership. Na začátku popisuje existující teorie a styly leadershipu. Dále se práce zaměřuje na nejvýznamnější inovátory a autory v oblasti leadershipu a popisuje jaké jsou rozdíly mezi managementem a leadershipem. Obecně se tvrdí, že management je spíše o plánování, řízení, předvídání a kontrole. Leader by měl zase umět sdílet svoji vizi s ostatními členy organizace a měl by je umět také náležitě motivovat. Leadership neustále prochází vývojem a je stále mnoha organizacemi opomíjen. Vše je podrobně popsáno v praktické části práce, kde je čerpáno z osobních zkušeností z letních stáží v USA v oblasti sales a managementu. Společnost pořádající tento program pro studenty si postupně vychovává své vlastní leadery, aby vytvářeli a vedli organizace k úspěchu. Dobře se dá z pozorování porovnat náplň práce a zodpovědnosti managera ve srovnání s leaderem. Ten by měl mít mnohem větší dopad na úspěch či neúspech celé organizace. Členové k němu vzhlíží a on ví, jak je správně motivovat tak, aby jim pomohl na cestě k ůspěchu. Tím také posouvá celou organizaci dopředu. Leadership je umění, jež je třeba vypilovat k dokonalosti. Dobrý leader v čele organizace s ní dokáže i nemožné.

Abstract:

Abstract The main theme of this work is leadership. At the beginning it describes the existing theories and styles of leadership. The thesis focuses on the most important innovators and authors in the field of leadership and describes the differences between management and leadership. Generally, it is said that management is more about planning, management, forecasting and control. Leader should again be able to share his vision with the other members of the organization and should also be able to properly motivate. Leadership is constantly under development and is still neglected in many organizations. Everything is described in detail in the practical part, which is drawn from personal experience from summer internships in the U.S. in sales and management. Company organizing this program for students is gradually raising their own leaders to create and lead organizations to success. There is a good comparation of the observations of the job description and responsibilities of manager in comparison with leader. It should have a much bigger impact on the success or failure of the entire organization. Members look up to the leader and he knows how to motivate them to help them on their way to success. It also pushes the organization forward. Leadership is an art that need sharpening to perfection. A good leader leading an organization can do even impossible.
