Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou metanarativních prvků v románu Iana McEwana – Pokání. Zároveň se snaží pojmout filosofickou stánku viny a pokání hlavní hrdinky Briony Tallis. Pozornost je v práci věnována zejména statusu hlavní hrdinky jakožto intradiegetické vyprávěčky a narativní konstrukci jejího pokání. The thesis explores metanarrative aspects of Ian McEwan's novel Atonement focusing at the same time on the philosophical idea of guilt and atonement of its main character Briony Tallis. Attention is devoted to the role of this character as an intradiegetic narrator and the narrative construction of her atonement.
