The Use of vacuum therapy in surgery

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci je popsána možnost léčby rány pomocí podtlakové terapie využívající systém V. A. C. Teoretická část stručně popisuje proces hojení rány, vysvětluje princip a klinické přednosti podtlakové terapie, seznamuje s příslušenstvím, speciální technikou krytí a monitorací příslušné rány v dané oblasti. Výzkumná část je zpracována formou dotazníků zjišťující zkušenosti všeobecných sester s podtlakovou terapií. Výsledky šetření jsou vyhodnoceny pomocí grafů a tabulek, kde lze posoudit znalosti, názory na využití a problémy spojené s ošetřováním rány pomocí podtlakové terapie. Získané poznatky a stále častější výskyt této neinvazivní metody v léčbě ran je předmětem k navržení edukačního materiálu ve formě brožury, ve které je popsána možnost a provedení alternativního způsobu aplikace podtlakové terapie z hlediska snížení finanční náročnosti.

Abstract:

The work describes treatment options of wounds with the help of vacuum therapy using the VAC system. The theoretical section briefly describes the process of wound healing, explains the principle and clinical benefits of VAC therapy, introduces accessories, special equipment coverage and monitoring specific wounds in particular areas. The research section is presented as a way of questionnaires dealing with nurses´ experience with vacuum therapy. The results are evaluated in graphs and charts from which we can assess the knowledge and attitudes to the problems associated with treating wounds using vacuum therapy. Obtained findings and the increasing usage of non-invasive methods in the treatment of wounds is a basis to the design of educational material in a form of a brochure which describes the possibility and the way of using alternative method of applying pressure therapy in terms of reducing the financial burden.
