Orofacial stimulation in speech and swallowing disorders of children with cerebral palsy - collaboration of occupational therapist with speech therapist

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce zahrnuje problematiku orofaciální rehabilitace u dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou. Teoretická část představuje základní informace o anatomii a neurologii orofaciální oblasti, o poruchách řeči a poruchy polykání. Dále se tato část dotýká DMO a orofacilní terapie. Praktická část zahrnuje metody rehabilitace, definuje ergoterapii a představuje možnosti uplatnění ergoterapie u orofaciální stimulace a dále možnosti spolupráce s logopedem. V hlavní části najdete kazuistiku klienta, se kterým jsem dlouhodobě pracovala ve Speciální mateřské škole a speciální základní škole v Teplicích. Po vyšetření klienta jsem sestavila krátkodobý a dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán.

Abstract:

My thesis involves the issue of orofacial rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy. The theoretical part presents basic information on anatomy and neurology of orofacial region, impaired speech and swallowing disorders. Furthermore, this part affects CP and orofacial regulatory therapy. The practical part includes methods of rehabilitation, occupational therapy is defined and it is presented the possibility of application of occupational therapy in orofacial stimulation and further opportunities for cooperation with the speech therapist. The main area includes a case report of a client with whom I worked long time in a kindergarden and special elementary school in Teplice. After examination of the client, I have established short-term and long-term occupational therapy plans.
