The Importance of St. Jacob's Way in the Scope of Personal and Social Development

Abstract:

Hlavním záměrem bakalářské práce bylo nastínění cesty osobnostního a sociálního rozvoje prostřednictvím Svatojakubské poutní cesty. Domnívám se, že duchovní cesta je vnímána hlavně niterně, protože každý z nás máme jiné cítění a vnímání reality. Proto má Cesta tisíc tváří a každému má co přinést a nabídnout. V mé práci jsem si zvolila kvalitativní výzkum, jehož silnou stránkou je popis osobního prožitku a hloubková sonda do problému. Z jeho spektra metod jsem zvolila metodu empirického rozhovoru. Výslednou zprávou je zakotvená teorie. Druhá část mé práce se zabývá divadelní dílnou, které se účastnili poutníci, informátoři výzkumu. Jejím záměrem byla společná tvorba na divadelním představení, které vycházelo z výsledků zakotvené teorie, jakož i z vlastních příběhů účastníků. Toto představení má za cíl poodkrýt a předat divákovi odkazy skryté v pouti a zároveň nabízí uměleckou podívanou. Výstupem druhé části je samo představení. K naplnění cílů této části jsem využila techniky a metody dramatické výchovy.

Abstract:

The main intention of this thesis was to outline ways of personal and social development through the St. James pilgrimage route. I believe that the spiritual path is intrinsically perceived mainly because each of us have different feelings and perceptions of reality. Therefore the Way has a thousand faces and it has something to offer and deliver to everyone. I have chosen qualitative research in my thesis, as description of personal experience and in-depth probe into the problem is its strenght. From its spectrum of methods, I have chosen the method of empirical interview. The final report is grounded theory. The second part of my work is aboout the theater workshop, which involved the pilgrims, research informants. Its intention was to work on joint theater performance, which was based on the results of the grounded theory, as the participants' own stories. This presentation is designed to uncover and transmit to the viewer the hidden link in the journey while providing an artistic spectacle. The output of the second part is the theater performance itself. To fulfill the objectives of this part, I used the techniques and methods of drama.
