Long-term unemployment of the lone mothers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce chce poukázat na závažný problém dnešní doby, který dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost představuje. Blíže je specifikována dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost samoživitelek, neboť pozornost této skupině, která se řadí mezi rizikové skupiny, není věnovaná tolik, kolik by si zasloužila. Teoretický základ dané problematiky spočívá v identifikaci a charakteristice podstatných prvků a faktorů ovlivňujících životní situace dlouhodobě nezaměstnaných samoživitelek a v návaznosti na to ve specifikaci opatření sociální politiky, která mohou situace dlouhodobě nezaměstnaných samoživitelek ovlivnit. Prostřednictvím sekundární analýzy dat (spisové dokumentace) a polostandardizovaných rozhovorů s dlouhodobě nezaměstnanými samoživitelkami i se sociálními pracovnicemi oddělení péče o rodinu a dítě Úřadu městské části Praha 7, které mají tyto klientky v péči, je zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka: Jak přístupy sociálních pracovnic korespondují (ovlivňují) se zvolenými strategiemi dlouhodobě nezaměstnaných samoživitelek při hledání zaměstnání a řešení jejich situace?, což bylo cílem diplomové práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to focus on one of the contemporary burning issues – long-term unemployment. Closer attention is paid to lone standing women – in spite of the fact that this group is among the most conditioned by the phenomenon, the issue is not treated with deserved care and attention. Theoretical basis of the discussed topic lies in identification and characteristics of relevant items and factors conditioning the situation of long-term unemployed lone standing women. By means of secondary data analysis (file documentation) and half-standardised dialogues with the respective social group as well as with social workers from Family and Child Care Department belonging to administration of Prague 7 Municipality which is in charge of this client group, the main investigated question is being answered: How does the attitude of social workers correspond and influence the strategy selected by long-term unemployed lone standing women in searching for a job and solving their situation?, which has been the objective of the thesis.
