Aspects gender socialization of preschool children

Abstract:

Moje diplomová práce se zabývá aspekty genderu v socializaci předškolního dítěte. Je rozčleněna do dvou částí (teoretické a empirické) a pěti kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá představením dítěte předškolního věku. V druhé kapitole se pojednává o socializaci jako takové, poté je kapitola směrována k socializaci předškolního dítěte. Třetí kapitola rozpracovává gender, jeho základní teze, zachycuje různé psychologické teorie, podle nichž se utváří pohlavní identita dítěte, dále pak gender stereotypy, gender role a především genderovou socializaci a její hlavní činitele. Čtvrtá a pátá kapitola, která pojímá praktickou část je zaměřena na hledisko gender socializace v rodině a v mateřské škole, jejichž prostřednictvím dochází k reprodukci genderových stereotypů, které děti v předškolním věku ovlivňují.

Abstract:

My diploma thesis is focused on the gender aspects in the socialization of preschool child. It´s divided in to the two parts (theoretical and practical) and five chapters. First chapter characterizes a brief introduction of the child in preschool age. Second chapter describes the socialization generally and later is focused on the socialization of the child in preschool age. In the third chapter is elaborated gender and its fundament, chapter covers various psychological theories that describe forming of child´s gender identity, further elaborates gender stereotypes, gender roles and especially gender socialization and its principal factors. Fourth and fifth chapters cover practical part and are focused on the aspect of gender socialization in the family and in the kindergarten, through them are reproduced gender stereotypes that influence the children in the preschool age.
