Issues of social networks in selected museums and galleries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o správě a využití sociálních sítí muzeí a galerií. Vzhledem k nastalé pandemické situaci v roce 2020, byla muzea a galerie na nějakou dobu všem návštěvníkům uzavřena. Z tohoto důvodu došlo k výrazně vyššímu používání sociálních a webových stránek než v předchozích letech. Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je porovnat a zhodnotit současný stav využívání sociálních sítí v rámci českých regionálních muzeí a galerií. Druhým cílem je vytvořit příručku s doporučením pro tyto instituce, jak se sociálními sítěmi správně a efektivně pracovat a jak je používat. V této příručce jsou navrženy metody a způsoby využití sociálních sítí a webových stránek, a tím muzeím a galeriím dopomoci k vytvoření úspěšné komunikační strategie. V jednotlivých kapitolách je popsána analýza facebookových a webových stránek vybraných českých a evropských muzeí, jejich charakteristika a shrnutí rozhovorů se zástupci českých muzeí. Závěrem bakalářské práce jsou doporučení pro česká muzea a galerie, inspirovaná velkými evropskými muzei a zároveň přizpůsobená českým podmínkám.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis deals with the management and use of social networks of museums and galleries. Due to the pandemic situation in 2020, museums and galleries were closed to all visitors for some time. For this reason, the use of social and websites has been significantly higher than in previous years. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to compare and evaluate the current state of use of social networks in the Czech regional museums and galleries. The second goal is to create a guide with recommendations for these institutions on how to work properly and effectively with social networks and how to use them. This guide suggests methods and ways to use social networks and websites to help museums and galleries develop successful communication strategies. The individual chapters describe the analysis of Facebook and web pages of selected Czech and European museums, their characteristics, and a summary of interviews with representatives of Czech museums. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis are recommendations for Czech museums and galleries, inspired by large European museums and at the same time adapted to Czech conditions.
