Budgeting in a non-governmental non-profit organisation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na význam a praktické využití manažerského účetnictví v neziskovém sektoru, konkrétně za pomoci nástroje rozpočtu. Práce nejprve vymezuje a charakterizuje neziskový sektor a nestátní neziskové organizace, na což navazuje výčtem specifik a odlišností oproti ziskovému sektoru, účetním a právním hlediskem a zdroji financování. Klíčovou částí této práce je popis oblasti manažerského účetnictví, controllingu a rozpočtu a jejich úlohy v neziskovém sektoru. V praktické části je nejprve popsána a analyzována současná metodika vybrané organizace a poté je navrhnuta rozšířená podoba rozpočtu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the importance and practical application of management accounting in the non-profit sector, specifically using the budget tool. The thesis first defines and characterizes the non-profit sector and non-governmental non-profit organizations, which is followed by an enumeration of the specifics and differences from the profit sector, accounting and legal aspects and sources of funding. A key part of this work is a description of management accounting, controlling, budgeting and their role in the non-profit sector. In the practical part, first the current methodology of the selected organization is described and analyzed and then an extended budget is proposed.
