The sustainability of the sports weightlifting club

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se týká nově založeného vzpěračského klubu Vzpírání Haná z.s. se sídlem v obci Náměšť na Hané. Klub byl v roce 2016 založen jako nezisková organizace typu zapsaný spolek. S pomocí odborné literatury a následně prakticky pomocí manažerských metod řeší tato práce problém dosahování stabilní, rostoucí členské základny a vyrovnaného rozpočtu. Práce je vypracována přímo při zakládání a v průběhu prvního roku fungování klubu, z pohledu jeho zakladatelky. Nezkresleně mapovala reálný průběh řešení očekávaných i neočekávaných situací s konkrétními daty. Zajímavým řešením pro zvyšování členské základny se ukázal být nábor prováděný přímo na základních školách v průběhu hodiny tělesné výchovy. Z pohledu financí se ukázalo jako nejvhodnější věnovat čas náboru dalších členů platících členské příspěvky a žádání o dotace od obce a kraje. Závěr práce je doporučením podloženým zkušeností pro ty, kteří by chtěli v budoucnu sami zakládat neziskovou organizaci pro svůj sportovní klub.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the newly established weightlifting club “Vzpírání Haná z.s.” based in the municipality of Náměšť na Hané. The club was founded in 2016 as a non-profit association. Using the literature and then management methods, the thesis focuses on the problems with the club stabilization process, increasing membership base and well-balanced budget. This work has been elaborated directly during the club establishment and its first operation year, from the founder’s perspective. Thus, it has mapped the real-world expected and unexpected situations, including measurable data. To increase the membership base, an interesting solution proved to be the recruitment directly at secondary schools during the physical education. From the financial point of view, the most appropriate is to spend time for the recruitment of other members, who pay membership fees, and for grant proposals from the municipality and region. This thesis concludes with experience-based recommendations for those who want to set up a non-profit organization for their own sports club.
