Learning techniques of vocabulary with a special consideration for mnemonic

Abstract:

In my bachelor work I deal with techniques of learning vocabulary of foreign language. I present classical methods and alternative methods of learning vocabulary – mnemonics. In a theoretical part I define expressions such as vocabulary, work with vocabulary and techniques of learning vocabulary of foreign language. I describe classical techniques and mnemonics as an alternative to classical methods and I give examples to each of them as well. The didactic and methodologiacal description of work sheets, which I have drafted, forms the practical part. They contain vocabulary exercises using particular learning techniques whereas most exercises are focused on mnemonics. Further another part of practical part is an empirical research containing the evaluation of questionnaires. The questionnaires were filled in by students of 8th and 9th year at primary school on the basis of work with work sheets in German lessons. The aim of questionnaire was to find out students' knowledge about techniques of learning vocabulary of foreign language and the evaluation of presented techniques.

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám technikami učení se slovní zásoby cizího jazyka. Prezentuji klasické metody a alternativní metody učení slovíček - mnemotechniky. V teoretické části definuji pojmy slovní zásoba, práce se slovní zásobou a techniky učení se slovní zásoby cizího jazyka. Popisuji klasické techniky a mnemotechniky jako alternativu ke klasickým metodám, přičemž u každé uvádím příklady. Praktickou část tvoří didakticko-metodologický popis pracovních listů, které jsem navrhla. Obsahují cvičení na slovní zásobu využívající jednotlivé techniky učení, přičemž většina cvičení je zaměřena na mnemotechniky. Dále je součástí praktické části empirický výzkum obsahující vyhodnocení dotazníků. Dotazníky vyplnili žáci 8. a 9. třídy ZŠ na základě práce s pracovními listy v hodinách německého jazyka. Cílem dotazníku bylo zjistit povědomí žáků o technikách učení se slovní zásoby cizího jazyka a ohodnocení prezentovaných technik.
