Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou "Mentoringu v ošetřovatelské praxi". V posledních letech můžeme pozorovat zvyšující se zájem sester o absolvování mentorského kurzu. Jedním z důvodů je požadavek řídících složek nemocnic o alespoň jednoho mentora na oddělení pro zkvalitnění edukace nastupujících sester, efektivnější vedení studentů na praxi a navázání spolupráce s Fakultou zdravotnických studií (FZS). U studentů absolvujících praxi dochází k propojení teoretických znalostí z výuky s praktickými činnostmi v nemocnici. To je důležité pro jejich kompletní přípravu na budoucí povolání. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit míru důležitosti ošetřovatelské praxe z pohledu studenta a vliv mentora na to jaké zdravotnické oddělení si absolvent vybere pro svoji práci. V diplomové práci byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum, který byl realizován formou online dotazníkového šetření. Výběr respondentů byl omezen na ty, kteří Fakultu zdravotnických studií Univerzity Jana Evangelisty Purkyně studovali v letech 2019-2023. Výsledky diplomové práce ukazují, že mentor je z pohledu studenta velmi důležitým prvkem. Mentorů je však nedostatek, nejvíce jich je dle studentů na interním oddělení, chirurgickém oddělení, dětském oddělení a porodním sále. Za nejdůležitější vlastnosti mentora studenti považují zkušenost v oboru, komunikační schopnosti a empatii. Závěrem lze konstatovat, že pokud si student vytvoří s mentorem kladný vztah a praxe je pro něj přínosem, po ukončení studia uvažuje o práci na daném pracovišti.

Abstract:

SUMMARY The diploma thesis deals with the issue of "Mentoring in nursing practice". In recent years, we can observe the increasing interest of nurses in completing a mentoring course. One of the reasons is the requirement of hospital management for at least one mentor per department to improve the quality of the education of incoming nurses, more effective guidance of students in practice and establishing cooperation with the Faculty of Health Studies (FZS). For students on practice, the theoretical knowledge of teaching is connected with practical activities in the hospital. This is important for the complete preparation of the student for the future profession. The main goal of the diploma thesis was to determine the degree of importance of nursing practice from the student's point of view and the influence of the mentor on the student´s choice of a specific department after graduation. Quantitative research was chosen in the diploma thesis, which was implemented in the form of an online questionnaire survey. The selection of respondents was specified for students and graduates in the last five years (2019 - 2023) at the Faculty of Health Studies of Jan Evangelista University in Ústí nad Labem. The results of the diploma thesis show that the mentor from the student's point of view is very important. There is a lack of them in workplaces when completing practical work. According to the students, the most mentors are in the internal medicine department, the surgical department, the children's department and the delivery room. Students consider experience in their field, communication skills and empathy to be the most important qualities of a mentor. In conclusion, it can be stated that if the student develops a positive relationship with the mentor and the experience is beneficial for him/her, the student might consider working at the given workplace after his/her graduation.
