Cílem mojí bakalářské práce je analýza pojetí ženských objevitelek ve fikční literatuře Arithy van Herk: Judith (1978), The Tent Peg (1981) a No Fixed Address: An Amorous Journey (1986). Práce se zaměřuje na přístupy autorky k jejím hrdinkám, které jsou ve své podstatě rozdílné, ale lze v nich vysledovat silné paralely a podobnosti v jejich vývoji na základě jejich vztahu ke kanadské přírodě, jejím …moreAbstract:
The purpose of my Bachelor’s Thesis is to analyze the concept of women explorers in fiction by Aritha van Herk: Judith (1978), The Tent Peg (1981) a No Fixed Address: An Amorous Journey (1986). The thesis focuses on the author’s approaches to her heroines. While these approaches differ between the novels, it is nonetheless possible to identify strong parallels and similarities in their developments …more
