Abstract:

Obsahem práce je zrod a rekonstrukce mezinárodní výstavy Poesie 1932. Výstavu uspořádal Svazem výtvarných umělců Mánes. Vystavovali na ní svá díla Hans Arp, Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Giacometti, Giorgio de Chirico, Paul Klee, André Masson, Joan Miró, Wolfgang Paalen, Gaston Louis Roux, Alberto Savinio, Yves Tanguy. Spolu s nimi vystavovali čeští umělci Emil Filla, Adolf Hoffmeister, František Janoušek, Vincenc Makovský, František Muzika, Josef Šíma,Jindřich Štyrský, Toyen, Alois Wachsman, Hana Wichterlová a Bedřich Stefan. Práce poukazuje na záporné hodnocení výstavy v dobovém tisku a kladné hodnocení v odborných publikacích od šedesátých let 20. století. Tento rozdílný náhled dokládá kontroverznost výstavy a změnu v chápání umění ve výtvarné tvorbě české meziválečné avantgardy. Výstavu lze chápat jako první výstavu u nás, která měla jednotnou orientaci k surrelismu a to především u děl zahraničních umělců. Práce je doplněna o archivní materiály SVU Mánes související s výstavou, které dokládají vznik výstavy. Ze 155 děl je zde 100 děl doloženo fotografiemi.

Abstract:

The content of my thesis is creation and reconstruction of international exhibition called Poetry 1932, hosted by SVÚ (Artists Association) Mánes. Authors of exhibited works were Hans Arp, Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Giacometti, Giorgio de Chirico, Paul Klee, André Masson, Joan Miró, Wolfgang Paalen, Gaston Louis Roux, Alberto Savinio and Yves Tanguy. Among the exhibiting Czech artists there were Emil Filla, Adolf Hoffmeister, František Janoušek, Vincenc Makovský, František Muzika, Josef Šíma, Jindř ich Štyrský, Toyen, Alois Wachsman, Hana Wichterlová and Bedřich Stefan. My thesis points out the negative evaluation of this exhibion in the newspapers then and also its positive evaluation in specialized publications from the 60s of the 20th century onward. This difference in outlook proves controversy of the exhibition and also change in understanding arts in Czech avantgarda fine arts between wars. The exhibition can be considered the first one in the Czech Republic that had a coherent orientation to surrealism, especially the artwork of foreign authors. My thesis is supported by archival materials from SVU Mánes related to the exhibition and proving the creation of the exhibition. It is illustrated by photos of 100 out of 155 exhibited works.
