Analysis of IT recruitment efficiency on social networks

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou náboru IT pracovníků na sociálních sítích. Teoretická část představuje oblast HR a s tím spojenou disciplínu získávání pracovníků, u které je popsán její proces, způsoby a metody. Jednou z populárních metod náboru je nábor na sociálních sítích, kterému je věnována samostatná kapitola. Práce se zabývá spojením sociálních sítí a náboru, popisuje využívání a konkrétní možnosti náboru na nejvýznamnějších sociálních sítích. Předmětem zájmu jsou i ostatní aktuální trendy v oblasti náboru. Teoretická část je uzavřena současnou situací na trhu práce, zejména je zdůrazněn nynější problém nedostatku a složitosti náboru IT pracovníků. V praktické části jsou analyzovány a zhodnoceny možnosti náboru na sociálních sítích LinkedIn a Facebook v konkrétní firmě COPS Financial Systems. Cílem je porovnat efektivnost těchto dvou sociálních sítí při IT náboru z různých hledisek. Dalším cílem je porovnání sociálních sítí s ostatními možnostmi náboru, které byly použity v reálné společnosti. Výsledkem je zjištění, zda jsou efektivnější sociální sítě, webové inzerce nebo pracovní veletrhy s ohledem na náklady, čas a úspěšnost. Práce tak bude schopna odpovědět na otázku, zda jsou sociální sítě natolik úspěšné, že mohou nahradit ostatní metody a stát se dominantním zdrojem pro nábor. Popisované možnosti náboru a jejich funkce usnadňující nábor lze využít jako trendy, typy či návody a zasadit je jako nové strategie do firemního náboru.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the problematics of recruiting IT workers on social networks. The theoretical part introduces HR and related recruitment discipline, describes its process, forms and methods. One of the popular methods is recruitment on social networks, which is dealt with in a separate chapter. The thesis deals with the connection of social networks and recruitment, describes the use and specific possibilities of recruitment on the most important social networks. The focus is also on other current trends in recruitment. The theoretical part is closed by the current situation in the labor market, especially the current problem of lack and complexity of recruiting IT staff. Practical part analyzes and evaluates the recruitment options on social networks LinkedIn and Facebook in a company COPS Financial Systems. The aim is to compare the effectiveness of IT recruitment on the two social networks from different perspectives. Another goal is to compare social networks with other recruitment options that have been used in real company. The result will show whether social networks, web advertising, or job fairs are more effective with respect on cost, time and success. The work will be able to answer the question whether social networks are so successful that they can replace other methods and become the dominant source for recruitment. Described recruitment options and their functions facilitating recruitment can be used as trends, types or instructions and put them as new strategies in corporate recruitment.
