Tradition of music instruments manufacture in Western Bohemia

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tradicí výroby hudebních nástrojů se zaměřením na Krušnohorská města Kraslice a Luby u Chebu. Hlavní část této práce se zmiňuje o vzniku hudebně nástrojařských dílen, významných výrobcích a firmách na výrobu dechových a strunných hudebních nástrojů. Také je zde uveden vznik, vývoj a současná situace podniku Amati-Denak s.r.o. na výrobu dechových nástrojů a společnosti Strunal CZ a.s. na výrobu strunných nástrojů. V práci jsou zmíněny dochované údaje o vzniku, vývoji a současné situaci středních odborných škol výroby hudebních nástrojů jak v Kraslicích, tak v Lubech u Chebu. Jedna z kapitol práce se zabývá životem a kariérou současného hudebního nástrojaře dechových nástrojů z Kraslic Jiří Schilbachem a nástrojařem strunných nástrojů z Chebu Bc. Jiřím Pátkem. V závěru práce nabízí náhled na průběh a závěr průzkumu veřejnosti, týkající se povědomí o hudební tradici Krušnohoří a jejím významu pro budoucí generace.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with tradition of musical instrument manufacture in towns Kraslice and Luby at Cheb in Ore mountain region. Main reference of this thesis is to the establishment of instrumental manufactories, important products and wind and string musical instruments companies. The establishment, development and actual situation of the firm Amati-Denak s.r.o., that produces wind instruments, and firm Strunal CZ a.s., that produces string instruments, are also mentioned. In the thesis there are remarks of preserved data about the origin, development and contemporary situation of specialized grammar schools, both in Kraslice and Luby at Cheb, that are targeted on manufacturing musical instruments. One of the chapters is focused on life and career of Jiří Schilbach, manufacturer of wind musical instruments from Kraslice, and Bc. Jiří Pátek, manufacturer of string musical instruments from Cheb. In the end of this thesis there are both the process and the conclusion of a public opinion research about knowledge of the musical tradition in Ore mountain region and its purpose for next generation.
