Protective and Risk Factors of Language Socialization of Children with Different Native Tongue in Kindergarten

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem protektivní a rizikové faktory dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem má teoreticko-empirický charakter. Cílem práce je odhalit protektivní a rizikové faktory jazykové socializace dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem v mateřské škole. V teoretické části shrnujeme poznatky o vzdělávání dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem, popisujeme jazykový vývoj dětí s rodným jazykem češtinou a dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem a formy jazykové podpory ve vzdělávání dětí s OMJ. V empirické části interpretujeme výsledky z kvalitativně zaměřeného výzkumu. Ke sběru dat byly využity metody polostrukturovaného interview s učitelkami mateřských škol a zúčastněné pozorování dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem. Získané data byly analyzovány pomocí techniky otevřeného kódování. Výsledky odkryly jak rizikové, tak protektivní faktory, jež měly vliv na průběh jazykové socializace dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem, mezi které řadíme např. učitele, rodiče a vrstevníky.

Abstract:

The title of the diploma thesis is protective and risk factors of children with a different native tongue and has a theoretically empirical character. The aim of the thesis is to reveal the protective and risk factors of language socialization of children with a different native tongue in kindergarten. In the theoretical part, we summarize knowledge about the education of children with a different native language, describe the language development of children with a native language of Czech and children with a different native language, and forms of language support in the education of children with different native tongue. In the empirical part, we interpret the results from qualitative research. As the methods of the research, we used semi-structured interviews with kindergarten teachers and participant observation of children with a different native tongue. For analysis of the data, we used the open coding technique. The results revealed both risk and protective factors and their influence on the process of language socialization of children with a different native tongue, for example teachers, parents, and peers.
