Human Resources in the Service Department of the Regional Libraries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Personalistika ve službách krajských knihoven“ se věnuje problematice řízení lidských zdrojů v oddělení služeb krajských knihoven. V úvodu charakterizuje základní principy a metody personálního managementu. Popisuje legislativní rámec pro poskytování služeb ve veřejných knihovnách a vymezuje funkce krajských knihoven. Ve čtvrté kapitole charakterizuje služby, které krajské knihovny poskytují a definuje nároky na pracovníky oddělení služeb. Pátá kapitola předkládá analýzu výsledků dotazníkového šetření mezi vedoucími pracovníky oddělení služeb. Cílem výzkumu je popsat personální strukturu oddělní služeb v krajských knihovnách a zprostředkovat nároky vedoucích na tyto pracovníky a zkušenosti s jejich náborem. Práce upozorňuje na důležitost pracovníků služeb pro každou knihovnu a na význam kvalitního personálního řízení pro zajištění vysoké úrovně poskytovaných služeb.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, titled “Human Resources in the Customer Services Department of Regional Libraries” deals with the management of human resources within the customer service department of regional libraries. In the introduction there is an analysis of the basic principles and methods of personnel management. This thesis also describes the legislative framework for providing services within public libraries and the restrictions placed on the functions of regional libraries. In the fourth chapter there is a description of the services which regional libraries offer and an evaluation of the demands placed on employees within the customer services department. The fifth chapter analyses the responses of questionnaires sent to customer services department managers. The aim of this research is to describe the personnel structure of the customer services departments of regional libraries, to convey the managers' requirements for their employees and to highlight the managers' experience of the recruitment process. The research also draws attention towards the importance of the quality
