Self-reflection and evaluation as a part of the professional identity of a teaching librarian

Abstract:

Znalost pedagogických kompetencí je důležitou součástí každodenní práce učícího knihovníka pracujícím ve veřejné knihovně. Tato magisterská diplomová práce popisuje učícího knihovníka, jeho sebereflektivní kompetence a jejich využití v praxi. V diplomové práci jsou dále popsány transdisciplinární přístupy knihovnictví a pedagogiky, jež zahrnují popis současného stavu spolupráce těchto oborů a jaké další možnosti tato kooperace nabízí. Empirická část práce je věnována inovativním metodám ve vzdělávání v knihovně, zahrnující evaluační výzkum a jeho následné vyhodnocení formou sebereflexe učícího knihovníka. Cílem této diplomové práce je popsat a vysvětlit, co rozvíjí pedagogické dovednosti evaluace a sebereflexe, jejich konkrétní využití v práci učícího knihovníka.

Abstract:

Knowledge of pedagogical competencies is an important part of the daily work of a teaching librarian practicing in a public library. This master's thesis describes the teaching librarian, his self-reflective competencies and use these skills in practice. This thesis also describes transdisciplinary approaches to librarianship and pedagogy, which include a description of the current quality of cooperation in these fields and what other possibilities this cooperation offers. The empirical part of this thesis deals an innovative method in library education, evaluative research and its available evaluation of self-reflection of a teaching librarian. The aim of this thesis is to describe and explain, to develop pedagogical skills of evaluation and self-reflection, their specific use in the job of a teaching librarian.
