A pupil with a mild mental disability in a regular school environment or inclusion as a chance for everyone

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou inkluzivního vzdělávání dětí s lehkým mentálním postižením na druhém stupni základní školy. V prostředí inkluzivní školy pracuji jako asistentka pedagoga dvou dětí se zmíněným postižením, a tudíž jsem členem tohoto procesu. Následující text je souborem teoretických informací, ale také informací získaných z mé praxe a z praxe dalších osob. V teoretické části bakalářské práce specifikuji pojmem mentální postižení dále se zaměřením na jeho lehkou formu. Následně se blíže zaměřuji na inkluzivní vzdělávání dětí s tímto typem postižení. Ve výzkumné části analyzuji rozhovory s tématem zkušeností pedagogických pracovníků s vyučováním dětí s lehkým mentálním postižením společně s životní zkušeností matky jednoho dětí, která mi umožnila náhled i do domácích a volnočasových aktivit dítěte.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of children with mild mental disabilities at the second level of primary school. In an inclusive school environment, I work as an assistant teacher for two children with a mentioned disability, and therefore I am a member of this process. The following text is a set of theoretical information, but also information obtained from my practice and from the practice of other people. In the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis I specify the concept of intellectual disability further focusing on its light form. I am subsequently focusing more closely on inclusive education for children with this type of disability. In the research part, I analyze interviews with the topic of the experience of teaching staff with the teaching of children with mild mental disabilities together with the life experience of the mother of one child, which allowed me to also view the home and leisure activities of the child.
