Intercultural barriers in supranational companies

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na mezikulturní bariéry v nadnárodních společnostech. Cílem práce je provést analýzu vlivu odlišných kulturních norem a hodnot. Záměrem práce je shrnutí a zhodnocení výsledků z provedené analýzy a splnění vytyčených cílů. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část této práce se zabývá interkulturními prvky ve společnosti a tím, zdali tyto prvky mohou pracovníkům znesnadňovat výkon práce. Dále také pojednává o rozdílu mezi národní kulturou, firemní kulturou a kulturou nadnárodních společností. Praktická část je realizována v rámci několika vybraných nadnárodních společností v Moravskoslezském kraji a je vypracována za pomoci kvantitativní metodologie, dotazníkovým šetřením. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, zda pracovníci pociťují interkulturní bariéry, popřípadě které z nich je omezují nejvíce.

Abstract:

The Bachelor thesis focuses on intercultural barriers in international corporations. The aim is to analyze the influence of different cultural norms and values. The intention of this work is a summary and evaluation of the results of the analysis and fulfillment of goals. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with intercultural elements in society and with the issue whether these elements can make it more difficult for workers to perform their work. It also discusses the difference between national culture, corporate identity and the culture of international corporations. The practical part is realized within a few selected multinational companies in the Moravian Silesian region and is developed with the help of quantitative methodology, questionnaire survey. The main objective is to determine whether workers feel intercultural barriers, alternatively which ones restrict the workers the most.
