Sailing event organisers' liability: selected aspects

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje na vybraná rizika spojená s pořadatelstvím sportovních akcí, konkrétně jachtařských závodů a na ně navázané druhy odpovědnosti. V teoretické části autor zacílil na deskripci právního postavení pořadatele a výhody, nevýhody a rizika plynoucí z té, které formy právní subjektivity. Tato rizika jsou teoreticky klasifikována a následně rozebrána v praktické části a v mikropřípadových studiích jsou vyhodnocovány způsoby možnosti jejich prevence a řešení. Druhy odpovědnosti i zodpovědnosti jako nepříznivého následku jednání pořadatele v souvislosti s pořadatelstvím akce jsou v této práci prezentovány. Závěry a zjištění práce lze aplikovat i na pořadatelství jiných sportovních akcí vzhledem k rizikovosti jachtařských sportovních akcí.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on selected risks associated with the organization of sporting events, specifically sailing regattas, and the types of liability related to them. In the theoretical part, the author focused on the description of the legal status of the organizer and the advantages, disadvantages, and risks arising from this form of legal subjectivity. These risks are theoretically classified and then analyzed in the practical part and the ways of their prevention and solution are evaluated in micro-case studies. Types of liability and responsibility as an adverse consequence of the organizers actions in connection with the organization of an event are presented in this thesis. The conclusions and findings of the thesis can be applied to the organizing of other sporting events due to the riskiness of sailing sporting events.
