Sewage sludge treatment focusing on the wastewater treatment plant Karlovy Vary

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá čistírenskými kaly, jejich vznikem, zpracováním a možnostmi dalšího využití. Teoretická část práce stručně shrnuje základní informace o dané problematice a související legislativě. Praktická část je věnována kalovému hospodářství čistírny odpadních vod v Karlových Varech, obsahuje popis technologie a uvádí naměřená data týkající se produkce a složení kalů a energetických vstupů a výstupů kalového hospodářství v časovém rozmezí leden 2014 červen 2017. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována technologii sušení kalů uvedené do provozu v roce 2016 a jejímu vlivu na provoz čistírny odpadních vod. Na základě analýzy naměřených dat jsou hodnoceny jednotlivé procesní kroky kalového hospodářství a navržena opatření k jejich optimalizaci.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns sewage sludges, their formation, processing and futher use options. The theoretical part of the thesis gives a brief summary of the basic information on this subject and the related legislation. The practical part concerns the sludge management of the wastewater treatment plant in Karlovy Vary. It includes a description of the technology and states the measured data related to the production and composition of sludges and energy inputs and outputs of the sewage management in the time interval of January 2014 to June 2017. Particular attention is paid to the sludge drying technology which was put into operation in 2016, and its influence on the processes of the wastewater treatment plant. Individual stages of the sewage management are assessed on the basis of the measured data analysis, and possible means of their optimalization are suggested.
