The Role of an Assistant Teacher in the Education of Primary School Pupils with ADHD

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí asistenta pedagoga ve vzdělávání žáků s ADHD, a to na nižším stupni běžných základních škol. Celá práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitola se zaměřuje na teoretická východiska, druhá se zabývá charakterizováním syndromu ADHD a třetí popisuje pozici asistenta pedagoga. Obsahem praktické části je kvalitativní výzkum, který se zaměřuje na to, jak asistenti pedagoga interpretují svou roli v rámci procesu edukace žáků s ADHD. Data byla získána prostřednictvím rozhovorů s asistenty pedagoga základních škol. Následně byla zpracována pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the role of a assitant teacher in the eduacation of pupils with ADHD at the lower level of primary school. The whole thesis is devided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical background, the second deals with the characterization of the ADHD syndrome and the third describes the position of an assistant teacher. The content of the practical part is qualitative research, which focuses on how assistants teacher interpret their role in the process of educating students with ADHD. Data were obtained through interviews with assistants teachers in primary school. Then the data were processed using interpretative phenomenological analysis.
