Hate Speech and Stereotypes on LGBT+ Persons - The Context of Social Work

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je práce teoretická. Zabývá se tématem hate speech a stereotypizujících výrazů vůči LGBT+ lidem v kontextu sociální práce. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit jaké dopady může mít užívání hate speech a stereotypizujících výrazů na sociální práci s LGBT+ osobami, a zjistit, jak těmto dopadům můžeme v sociální práci předcházet. Touto prací chci upozornit na téma nenávistných projevů a stereotypizujících výrazů vůči LGBT+ lidem v kontextu sociální práce. Poukázat na specifika, která se pojí se sociální prací s LGBT+ lidmi jako klienty a klientkami sociální práce. Upozornit na to, že prostřednictvím sociální práce a zvolením vhodného přístupu sociálních pracovníků a pracovnic k LGBT+ klientům a klientkám, můžeme působit preventivně vůči předsudkům, stereotypům a hate speech. Práce vymezuje pojmy jako je předsudek, stereotypizující výraz, hate speech a jejich projevy a dopady jak na LGBT+ osoby, tak na sociální pracovníky a pracovnice. Popisuje vhodné přístupy pro sociální pracovníky a pracovnice i vhodné metody sociální práce, pro práci s LGBT+ klienty a klientkami.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is theoretical work. It delves into a topic of hate speech and stereotyping expressions focused on LGBT+ people within the context of social work. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out what effects the use of hate speech and stereotyping expressions can have on social work with LGBT+ persons, and to find out how we can prevent these effects in social work. With this work, I want to draw attention to the topic of hate speech and stereotyping expressions towards LGBT+ people in the context of social work. Point out the specifics associated with social work with LGBT+ people as clients of social work. To draw attention to the fact that through social work and by choosing the appropriate approach of social workers to LGBT+ clients, we can act preventively against prejudice, sterotypes and hate speech. The work defines concepts such as prejudice, stereotyping expressions, hate speech and their manifestations and impacts on both LGBT+ persons and social workers. It describes appropriate approaches for social workers and appropriate social work methods for working with LGBT+ clients.
