Analysis of the influences on the Czech book market and its future prospects

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Analýza vlivů působících na český knižní trh a jeho výhledy do budoucna se pokusí analyzovat současné postavení knih ve společnosti, jeho možné příčiny a dopady a rovněž se pokusí navrhnout i možná řešení této problematiky. V první části práce se zaměřuje na vliv knižní kultury na společnost a na její přínosy, kdy primárním tématem je čtenářská gramotnost a její vývoj v České republice. Dále je nastíněna analýza vlivů, které mohou mít na postavení knihy v naší kultuře dopad, a to jak vlivy ekonomické, tak rovněž technologické, sociální či kulturní. Zároveň jsou také popsány možné varianty nápravy a potenciální stimulace vyšší čtenosti ve společnosti. Práce je zakončena analýzou současného stavu knižního trhu v České republice a možnými variantami, jak tento stav vylepšit.

Abstract:

The thesis Analysis of the influences on the Czech book market and its future prospects discuses the nowaday status of books in society, its possible causes and effects, and also tries to suggest possible solutions. The first part focuses on the influence of literary culture on society and its benefits, the primary theme is literacy and its development in the Czech Republic. Further there is an analysis of the influences that may impact the status of books in our culture. There are also described possible alternatives and potential remedies to stimulate readership in the community. The thesis ends with an analysis of the current state of the book market in the Czech Republic and the possible options how to improve this situation.
