The influence of attentional focus instructions on jump height performance

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na pozorování vlivu instrukcí s ohledem na zaměření pozornosti na vertikální výskok. Studie se zúčastnilo 6 hráček volejbalu ve věku od 16 do 19 let. K zaznamenání výskoků byl použit přístroj FitroJumper. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo zjistit, zda mají interní či externí instrukce vliv na výšku vertikálního výskoku a dále, zda jsou mezi výskoky podle jednotlivých instrukcí signifikantní rozdíly. Bylo zjištěno, že největší výšky vertikálního výskoku dosahovala skupina kontrolní, která neměla instrukce na zaměření pozornosti. Mezi vertikálními výskoky s interním a externím zaměřením pozornosti nebyly zjištěny žádné signifikantní rozdíly.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's thesis is focused on observation of the influence of instructions on focusing one's attention to vertical jump performance. The study involved six volleyball players agen 16 to 19 years old. A device called FitroJumper was used to record jumps. The aim of this Bachelo's thesis was to find whether internal or external instructions have an influence on height of the vertical jump and whether there are significant differences between jumps of individual instructions. It was found that the highest jump was achieved by the control group, which did not get any instructions for attention focus. No significant differences were found between vertical jumps with internal or external attention focus.
