Abstract:

Cílem absolventské práce je shrnout teoretické a praktické poznatky o problematice smrti a umírání v kontextu přání umírajících osob zemřít v jejich přirozeném prostředí, propojit tyto poznatky s potřebou a dostupností mobilní hospicové péče v České republice, a rovněž provést analýzu potřebnosti, zaměřenou na zmapování situace v oblasti mobilní hospicové péče v Moravskoslezském kraji, s cílem shromáždit argumenty pro potřebnost zřízení mobilního hospice v daném kraji. Z analýzy sekundárních dat vyplývá, že počet mobilních hospiců se v České republice sice přibližuje jejich optimálnímu potřebnému počtu, avšak velmi problematická je jejich dostupnost pro obyvatele menších měst a vesnic, přičemž tento problém se týká každého ze čtrnácti krajů ČR, Moravskoslezského tedy nevyjímaje. Zároveň však narůstá počet osob, které zmírají v lůžkových zařízeních zdravotní péče, ačkoliv by si přáli odejít doma, obklopeni svými nejbližšími. Tato skutečnost může být dána jednak demografickým vývojem obyvatelstva, a tedy nárůstem počtu umírajících osob, tak i stále tabuizovaným tématem umírání a smrti ve veřejném prostoru. Důležitým zjištěním je i skutečnost, že legislativa v oblasti paliativní péče vykazuje roztříštěnost a může tak být pro laickou veřejnost obtížné se v této zorientovat a vnímat možnosti, které český systém pro umírající osoby a jejich rodiny nabízí.

Abstract:

The aim of the graduate thesis is to summarize the theoretical and practical knowledge about the issue of death and dying in the context of the wishes of dying persons to die in their natural environment, to link this knowledge with the need and availability of mobile hospice care in the Czech Republic, and also to conduct a needs analysis, aimed at mapping the situation in the field of mobile hospice care in the Moravian-Silesian Region, with the aim of gathering arguments for the necessity of establishing a mobile hospice in that region. The analysis of secondary data shows that the number of mobile hospices in the Czech Republic is close to the optimal number of hospices needed, but their availability for the inhabitants of smaller towns and villages is very problematic, and this problem concerns each of the fourteen regions of the Czech Republic, including the Moravian-Silesian region. At the same time, however, the number of people dying in inpatient healthcare facilities is increasing, even though they would prefer to go home, surrounded by their loved ones. This fact is due both to the demographic development of the population, and therefore to the increase in the number of dying persons, and to the still taboo topic of dying and death in the public space. Another important finding is the fact that the legislation in the field of palliative care is fragmented and it may be difficult for the general public to navigate and perceive the possibilities that the Czech system offers for dying persons and their families.
