The Bata Home: contemporary shape of traditional family

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce je zjistit, zda je sociální změna společnosti patrná v rodinách žijících v baťovských domcích. Zaměřuji se přitom na sociální změnu rodiny, mužské a ženské role a práce. Tohoto zjištění chci dosáhnout na základě charakterizování tradiční, moderní a postmoderní společnosti a srovnání s kvalitativním výzkumem, který jsem vedla prostřednictvím hloubkových rozhovorů s obyvateli baťovských domků. Má práce se skládá z části teoretické a výzkumné. V teoretické části jsem charakterizovala koncepty rodiny, mužské a ženské role a práce v době tradiční až po postmoderní a koncept baťovského bydlení. Ve výzkumné části jsem poznatky z hloubkových rozhovorů podrobila analýze se zaměřením na koncepty týkající se sociální změny, které jsem následně interpretovala. V závěru mé práce docházím k zjištění, že sociální změna společnosti není v rodinách žijících v baťovských domcích natolik patrná, rodiny naopak vykazují charakteristiky typické pro tradiční společnost.

Abstract:

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out whether the social change of the society is evident in the families living in Bata's houses. I focus on social change of family, male and female roles and work. I want to achieve this with finding the basis of characterization of traditional, modern and postmodern society and comparison with the qualitative research I conducted through in-depth interviews with the inhabitants of Bata's houses. My thesis consists of theoretical and research part. In the theoretical part I characterized the concepts of family, male and female roles and work during the traditional times up to postmodern times and the concept of Bata's living. In the research part, I analyzed in-depth interviews with focusing on social change concepts, which I then interpreted. At the end of my thesis, I found out that the social change of the society is not so obvious in the families living in the Bata's houses, on the contrary, the families show characteristics typical of the traditional society.
