Searching for contraveners as a comfortable facing up to the past? Drama in 1960`s (Walser, Hochhuth)

Abstract:

The Diploma Thesis focuses on the topic of facing up to the past appearing in three analysed dramas by Martin Walser and Rolf Hochhuth. The Thesis contains eight chapters, the chapters focused on theory introduce the situation concerning dramatic, political and social aspects of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960 and serve as an introduction to the problems of facing up to the past. Practically oriented chapters, analyses of those three dramas, specialize on the question of guilt and on the methods of coping with them.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem vyrovnání se s minulostí odrážejícího se ve třech analyzovaných dramatech Martina Walsera a Rolfa Hochhutha. Práci tvoří osm kapitol, teoreticky zaměřené kapitoly seznamují se situací na dramatické, politické a společenské scéně 40., 50. a 60. let 20. století a uvádí do problematiky vyrovnání se s minulostí. Prakticky orientované kapitoly, analýzy třech dramat, se specializují na otázku viny a na metody jejího zvládnutí.
