Klicpera´s Theatre in Hradec Králové during Vladimír Morávek´s Activity

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na období Klicperova divadla v Hradci Králové mezi lety 1995–2005, kdy zde jako kmenový režisér (1995/1996–2004/2005) a částečně umělecký šéf (1997/1998–1999/2000 a 2002/2003) působil Vladimír Morávek. Práce vychází z předpokladu, že Morávkovo období v tomto divadle bylo unikátní, její ústřední otázkou tedy je, v čem toto unikum spočívalo? První část práce je věnována období Klicperova divadla před příchodem Vladimíra Morávka a je koncipována jako průřez kulturní historií města Hradec Králové. Následující část práce se zabývá divadelními začátky Vladimíra Morávka. Další oddíl je věnován Klicperovu divadlu a jeho klimatu v první polovině 90. let, a to včetně pokusu o charakterizaci tzv. „hradeckého diváka“. V této kapitole jsou také pojednány Morávkovy začátky v Klicperově divadle ve funkci režiséra a posléze uměleckého šéfa. Jádro práce tvoří charakteristika Morávkova královehradeckého tvůrčího týmu (ředitel, režiséři, herci, herečky, dramaturgové) a zasazení jejich práce nejen do kontextu Klicperova divadla, ale i do kulturního kontextu Hradce Králové. Závěrečná část práce je reflexí výzkumu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is focused on the period of Klicpera’s theatre in Hradec Králové during 1995–2005, when Vladimír Morávek worked there as a basic director (1995/1996–2004/2005) and partially as an artistic director (1997/1998–1999/2000 and 2002/2003). This thesis works on the assumption that Morávek’s period was unique, so the main question is: „Which atributes of his era were unique in? First part of the thesis is dedicated to the period of Klicpera’s theatre before Vladimír Morávek’s coming and it comprises an overview of Hradec Králové’s cultural history. Next part of the text deals with Vladimír Morávek’s theatre beginnings. The following section is focused on Klicpera‘s theatre and it’s clima in the first half of the nineties and it also contains an attempt to define „Hradec’s audience“. Morávek’s beginnings in Klicpera’s theatre as a basic director andthan as an artistic director are also mentioned in this chapter. The heart of the work is composed of characteristic of Morávek’s creative team in Hradec Králové (managing director, directors, actors, actresses, dramaturges) and their work in the context of Klicpera’s theatre and Hradec Králové‘s cultural context. The final part of the thesis is reflection of the research.
