Pre-hospital emergency care for drowning people

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tonutím v přednemocniční neodkladné péči. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části práce se seznamujeme s tonutím, jeho fázemi, rozdělením, příčinami, patofyziologií a komplikacemi. Dále se zabýváme první pomocí při tonutí, kdy se nejdříve věnujeme laické první pomoci a následně profesionální první pomoci. V další části práce popisujeme hypotermii, která je úzce spjata s tonutím. Zároveň zde uvádíme specifika péče o hypotermické pacienty. Poslední část je věnována přednemocniční neodkladné péči, kde se věnujeme rovněž vodní záchranné službě. V praktické části jsme na základě kazuistik, které nám poskytla ZZS Úk, zjišťovali nejčastější příčiny tonutí. Dále jsme zkoumali, jak často je poskytována laická první pomoc před příjezdem ZZS. Poté jsme pomocí kazuistik zjišťovali specifika péče o pacienty po tonutí, kdy jsme jednotlivé postupy zdravotnické záchranné služby porovnávali s doporučenými postupy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with drowning in pre-hospital emergency care. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part of the thesis we get acquainted with drowning, its phases, division, causes, pathophysiology and complications. Than we deal with the first aid for drowning people, when we talk about basic first aid and then about professional first aid. In the next part of the work we describe hypothermia, which is closely connected with drowning. Then we mention the specifics of care for hypothermic patients. The last part of the theoretical part is about pre-hospital emergency care, where we also talk about water rescue services. In the practical part, the most frequent causes of drowning were identified on the basis of case reports provided by the Emergency Medical Service. Furthermore, we find out how often first aid is provided before the arrival of the Emergency Medical Services. Then, using case reports, we explore the specifics of patient care after drowning, when we compared individual emergency medical procedures to recommended procedures.
