The child as a particularly vulnerable victim

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřená na problematiku dětí a mladistvých v postavení obětí trestné činnosti. Skládá se ze dvou samostatných částí. Od historických souvislostí pohledu na dětství, vysvětlení základních pojmů z oblasti trestního práva s tématem souvisejících, se práce dotýká i ochrany práv dětí na vnitrostátní i mezinárodní úrovni. Stěžejním tématem první části práce je však kriminologický obraz dítěte jako oběti kriminality. Je představena osobnost dítěte jako oběti, viktimizační determinanty, podrobně jsou rozebrány příčiny, druhy a následky násilí páchaného na dětech. Výzkumná část analyzuje statistické údaje o kriminalitě páchané na mládeži, identifikuje problémy a nedostatky statistických systémů sloužících ke sběru těchto dat v podmínkách České republiky. Závěr práce představuje systém statistického vykazování obětí kriminality ve Slovenské republice.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of children and adolescents in the position of victims of criminal activity. It consists of two separate parts. From the historical context of the view of childhood, the explanation of basic concepts from the field of criminal law with the related topic, the work also touches on the protection of children's rights to national and at the international level. However, the central theme of the first part of the work is the criminological image of the child as a victim of crime. The personality of the child as a victim, victimization determinants are presented, the causes, types and consequences of violence against children are analyzed in detail. The research part analyzes statistical data on crime commited against youth, identifies problems and shortcomings of statistical systems used to collect this data in the conditions of the Czech Republic. The conclusion of the thesis presents the system of statistical reporting about victims of crime in the Slovak Republic.
