Práce nejprve stručně představuje systém relativní většiny i úzký profil nejčastěji zaznívajících argumentů jak pro, tak i proti jeho zachování, přičemž akcentuje otázku spravedlnosti systému. The thesis introduces first-past-the-post system with a close profile of arguments for and against its maintainance, whereas accents problem of fairness. Subsequently the thesis analyses four sources of FPTP decline in the past thirty years and examines the conditions under which the reform process is initiated.
