Development of social care and forms of education of seniors in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předložená práce se věnuje problematice života seniorů v České republice. Se stářím je spojena celá řada změn, které mají vliv na kvalitu života jedince. Jedná se o fyzické, psychologické a sociální změny, které se projevují ve všech oblastech života jedince. Nejspíše největší změnou je pro seniora odchod do důchodu, který je mimo jiné doprovázen hledáním nové životní náplně. V tomto ohledu může pomoci možnost dále studovat. Senioři mohou využít celé řady forem dalšího vzdělávání. Nejčastěji však vyhledávají vzdělávací aktivity realizované v rámci univerzit třetího věku. V rámci předložené práce tedy bude zjišťován vztah mezi kvalitou života seniorů a vzděláváním v rámci U3V. Za tímto účelem byla analyzována data Českého statistického úřadu týkající se života seniorů a realizováno dotazníkové šetření mezi seniory. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak se liší vnímání kvality života seniorů navštěvujících univerzity třetího věku a seniorů, kteří na univerzitách třetího věku nestudují.

Abstract:

The presented work deals with the issue of life of seniors in the Czech Republic. There are a number of changes associated with aging that affect an individual's quality of life. These are physical, psychological and social changes that manifest themselves in all areas of an individual's life. Probably the biggest change is retirement, which is accompanied by the search for a new meaning of life. The opportunity to study can help in this regard. Seniors can use a variety of forms of further education. However, they most often look for educational activities carried out within universities of the third age. In the presented work, the relationship between the quality of life of seniors and education within U3V will be determined. For this purpose, the data of the Czech Statistical Office concerning the quality of life of seniors will be analysed and a questionnaire survey among seniors will be carried out. The aim will be to find out the difference between perception of the quality of life of seniors attending universities of the third age and seniors who do not study at the universities of the third age.
