The Personality of Janusz Korczak and His Socio-Pedagogical Contribution to Contemporary Pedagogy

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na osobnost Janusze Korczaka, jeho výchovné metody práce s dětmi, pedagogy základních škol a jejich pohled na tuto problematiku. V teoretické části jsou definovány pojmy výchova, sociální vyloučení, metoda. Práce přibližuje život a dílo tohoto polského spisovatele a významného pedagoga minulého století. Praktická část zkoumá povědomí pedagogů o osobnosti Janusze Korczaka, dále názor na uplatňování jeho metod v současné praxi pedagogů základních škol. Zjišťuje jejich názor na potřeby dětí i to, zda se setkávají s dětmi ohroženými sociálním vyloučením. Zkoumá, které metody pedagogové nejčastěji používají, a které naopak chybí. Kvantitativně orientovaný výzkum je realizován formou dotazníkového šetření u pedagogů základních škol.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the personality of Janusz Korczak, his pedagogical methods of working with children, teachers of primary schools and their view on this issue. The theoretical part defines the concepts of education, social exclusion, method. The work brings to life the work of this Polish writer and a significant pedagogue of the last century. The practical part examines teachers' awareness of the personality of Janusz Korczak, and his view on the application of his methods in the current practice of primary school teachers. It finds their opinion on the needs of children and whether they meet children at risk of social exclusion. It examines which pedagogical methods most often use and which, on the other hand, is missing. Quantitatively oriented research is carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey of primary school teachers.
